New York City Mayor Eric Adams has announced that the city’s coronavirus vaccine mandates for private sector workers and student athletes will end on November 1, 2022. However, the vaccination requirement will remain for New York City municipal workers, including police officers, firefighters and teachers.

It will now be up to individual business owners to decide if they want to maintain a vaccine requirement. “This puts the choice in the hands of New York businesses,” Adams said. “It is imperative that we are asking them to continue to encourage their employees to get their vaccines and booster shots.”

New York City employers may want to replace or revise their policies in light of the end of the mandate. Should you need any assistance or have any questions, please contact Ali Law Group.
